Bridgestone Corporation announced on March 9 that the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) have been jointly selected for the 2019 Nadeshiko Brand, which introduces companies that excel in women's success. The company has been selected for seven consecutive years since FY2013.
The “Nadeshiko Brand” is a seven-point selection of approximately 3,600 companies listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, including the “incorporation into management strategy” and “construction of a promotion system” related to the promotion of the active participation of women. .
Bridgestone has been working on promoting women's empowerment by clarifying the importance of diversity and supporting various work styles under the “Clarification and Development of Policy on Respect for Diversity”. It also aims to increase the number of female managers by 4.2 by 2020 compared to 2013 by promoting female career development.
