Thunderstorm. • Simon Kjær + Thomas Delaney | MR11 |
Living with Simon had been a pleasure to Lieke. After dating for two years, Lieke finally moved in with the man of her dreams. And she had loved every minute of it so far. Simon had a busy job, so she had lots of time for herself. But whenever they were together, they took every moment they had and made the best of it.
It had been love at first sight for the both of them. Lieke worked in a bar back then and Simon was there on a late night in the middle of the week. They hit off immediately and spend the whole night talking together. The rest was history as the first, second and third date came very quickly after the other.
Along the way Lieke got to know many of Simon friends, but the one she liked most had to be Thomas Delaney. He was sweet, caring, but most of all very funny. And whenever Lieke didn't feel right and couldn't get along with Simon, Thomas was always there for her.
Thomas spend a lot of them at their house too. He didn't have much friends besides the same friends Simon had picked up along the way. But he was closer with Simon and Lieke.
They spend many nights together. Just the three of them, talking and laughing and reliving memories.
And today was not any different. Well, a little maybe. The night had turned colder and scarier as they went to bed. Thunder and lightning where lighting up the sky. The sounds made Lieke feel uneasy. She hated this weather. She was afraid of it even.
Luckily Simon knew that. So the moment they hit bed, Simon immediately pulled her closer. She breathed out, shaking slightly.
“You okay?” he murmured, placing a kiss on her hair.
“Not really. It's so loud tonight.” Lieke whispered.
Her head was resting against his bare chest. He felt warm and safe and that's all that mattered in that moment. She crossed arms around his waist, to be as close as possible and intertwined her legs with his.
The fact he was so much taller than her, made her so happy. Especially when she felt like she needed to be protected. He was always there. The funny thing was, whenever she had to work and an angry costumer came for her, Simon would always be there if he was with her at the bar. He would stand up, usually being longer than the general man, and they would immediately back off. It was even worse whenever he wore short sleeves, showing off his sleeves of tattoos.
It made her feel proud to have such a man in her life. And that didn't change whenever they were in private.
“Is there anything I can do for you?” Simon whispered. He had raised his hand and moved her chin up so she would look at him. His blue eyes immediately calmed her. They looked so worried. But only for her.
“Not really. I mean.. I just hope I can fall asleep.” she shivered.
She let go of Simons body and touched his blonde beard softly. He had shaved a few days ago, meaning his beard was now in perfect shape again. And she loved going through it. He closed his eyes as she did so, enjoying her touch for a second.
“Babe, I'm not gonna sleep until you fall asleep, you know that right?” Simon said softly, opening his eyes again. A smile appeared on his face.
“We've discussed this before. Get your rest, Siem.” she sighed, tapping the top of his nose. He scrunched it slowly, making Lieke laugh.
“But in all seriousness, babe. We've discussed this.” she said again.
“I don't care. I'm not gonna leave you alone while you're scared.”
The thunder striked again, making Lieke jump up slightly.
“Come here.” Simon smiled worriedly, pulling her closer again. She hid her face in his neck, trying to hold her tears. But the lightning coming through the windows, just a few seconds after the thunder made her heart beat so fast, she couldn't hold herself.
“Lieke?” Simon asked softly.
She hummed weakly.
“You don't feel good, do you?” he whispered, he started placing kisses around her ear. She calmed down a little, but the stress in her body made her body shake.
“No.” she whispered, a cry escaping her mouth. He sighed softly, making sure she looked up again. He moved forward and kissed her slowly.
She let herself go in the kiss. It wasn't passionate and attractive. It was calming and safe. Simons lips slowly touched every spot he could discover, distracting her from the thunder. She sighed against his lips, stroking his cheek.
“Listen, what if I get Thomas right now.”
Their lips were softly touching as Simon spoke and Lieke looked up into his ocean eyes and frowned.
“Why would you?” she asked, not understanding him.
“So he can join us.”
Lieke shook her head confused.
“Listen, you're not gonna get any sleep if we stay here like this. Maybe Thomas will be able to calm you down, in another way than I can.”
Lieke, who already felt bad enough, was shaking her head softly.
“That just makes me feel like I'm a bad girlfriend.”
“But you aren't. And I want you to be safe.”
Another hard thunder came through the house. In reflex Lieke put her hands on her ears, hiding against Simons chest, scooting as close as possible.
Tears were now flowing freely and even though Lieke hated it, she couldn't hold herself anymore.
“Let me just get Thomas, okay. I won't feel bad about it.” Simon said slowly, stroking her hair.
“It just feels so weird. You're my boyfriend. Do you want him to join us in bed..?”
“If that's what you need. I mean. Two strong men are better than one.”
Lieke couldn't help but laugh, as Simon showed a little smirk.
“But only if Thomas wants it. Don't pressure him into doing it.” she said, knowing how easy Thomas was around Simon. He did way too much for the older man most of the time.
Simon smiled and kissed her quickly before he got out of bed. She rolled over to his warm side. His pillow smelled exactly like him, so she decided to steal it until he came back. She watched Simon, who was only wearing his underwear. His ass shaking softly. He looked around, a grin on his face.
She buried herself in the covers, listening to the wind outside. She hoped the thunder would stay away a little longer. Or Simon would be fast enough.
She hummed a song in her head softly, distracting herself.
It didn't take long before she heard Simon and Thomas their familiar voices coming closer. They were laughing about something, as usual. Thomas always made Simon laugh.
It was something not many people were able to do.
The door opened and Simon came in first. He was looking back, knowing Thomas was behind him. When he entered the room, he looked sleepy.
“Did he wake you up?” Lieke murmured to Thomas.
“Don't worry. I was asleep for a few minutes before he came.” Thomas laughed. He brushed his hand through his hair and smiled at Lieke.
“You okay though?” he asked, sincerely worried about her.
Just in that moment thunder and lighting struck again. Way too fast behind one another. She moved into a little ball, scared of all that was happening. She felt two hands pulling her closer.
“Calm down, sweetheart.” Simon whispered into her ear. “Hey, we are here, okay.”
She nodded, pushing herself against him. She felt so bad. Her whole body had started shaking and every loud noise made her eyes widen even more.
She looked up at Thomas, just for a second. He felt a bit uncomfortable, and she felt exactly the same way. But there was also that loving look on his face she couldn't shake.
“Can you join us?” she asked, trying to move the stress out of her shoulders. It was painful to feel the stress going through her body. But she got kind of used to it, since the weather in Denmark often got a little aggressive.
“Yeah.” he smiled. It was such a sweet smile and now Lieke understood what Simon had meant.
Simon was always there for her. He was the perfect boyfriend. But Thomas had this aura around him. He made people feel better and calmer just by being him.
He walked over to the closet, grabbing one of Simons sweatpants and put them on. Lieke watched amusingly, as they were a little too big for him. Simon rolled his eyes, as Thomas looked down at his legs.
“Looks beautiful.” Simon joked, as he shook his head.
Thomas chuckled his cutest chuckle.
“Well, I will be a gentleman for your girlfriend, Mr. Kjær. But I ain't going to walk back again to get my clothes. So here we go.” he explained, showing off his pants.
Lieke laughed softly, as she watched him come closer. Simon had layed down on the right side of her. So Thomas could join her on the left side.
He layed down, resting his head on his hand as he looked at the couple. Simon was holding Lieke close by her waist, but she was looking at Thomas. Searching for comfort. Her eyes still felt watery and she was still feeling scared.
“Okay, so did I tell you about that time Simon and me were at that charity match we did a while back?” he started, as he reached out for her hand. It was a small gesture, but holding his hand was feeling good.
She shook her head, as she heard Simon sniff before he put a kiss just above her head.
“Okay so, we had that charity football match and Simon was a professional player before he found his other job. And because of the injuries ofcourse.” Thomas explained quickly. She had known that fact.
“Well, all went well that game. We won easily. Simon made sure of that. But afterwards when we were showering all seemed to go wrong.”
Lieke looked quickly up at Simon, who was rolling his eyes.
“First he couldn't pull off his shirt and I had to help him. His head was stuck, because of a closed up button he forgot to open. Then he quickly realised he hadn't brought any new underwear, meaning he had to go home without any. And then when he finally decided to enter the shower in the end, instead of going home, he almost faceplanted onto the ground.”
Lieke started laughing.
“How even do you manage to do that?” Lieke laughed, finally feeling a little better.
“Well, I will never be able to answer that question.” Simon laughed softly.
“It felt like every good safe in the game, equaled a bad thing in the changing room. Safe to say I was laughing so hard, the crowd outside probably heard it.”
“With your laugh that ain't so difficult, Delaney.” Simon quickly said, making Lieke nod.
Thomas shrugged. He knew fully well how hard his laugh was.
“Still, it was the best thing that happened to me in a long while.” he said, while he mindlessly stroked Liekes hand with his thumb.
It got slowly quiet, the thunder was still banging loudly, but Simon was right. Two strong men were better than one. His mind drifted off to a party she went to of a friend of theirs. Simon and Thomas had shared a kiss, one she always had in her mind. It had been fun, not bad at all. But Lieke found it really attractive.
“Can I ask something really weird?” she asked slowly. She was still holding Thomas his hand and cuddling up to her boyfriend on the other side. Her other hand playing with Simons beard.
“You know that night you two shared a kiss. Was that.. weird?”
She was blushing, but fortunately for her they couldn't see it.
“Weird at first.” Simon said, trying to come up with the right words. “But in the end it wasn't even a bad kiss. Thomas is a good kisser.”
Thomas smirked, making Lieke laugh.
“Would you do it again?” she asked, more to Simon than to Thomas.
But it was Thomas who answered first.
“In a heartbeat.” he joked.
Simon started laughing, without giving an answer. He gave Lieke a loving kiss just above her ear.
“Let me guess, you want to see it again?” he said. Lieke turned herself sideways to him and smiled sweetly.
“Here I thought I had to worry about Thomas stealing my girl.” he laughed, shaking his head softly.
“Guess she had other plans.” Thomas giggled. “But if it helps her calm down, then let's go.”
Lieke knew he was more into it than he admitted. And eventhough Simon was a bit more laid back, she knew he didn't mind either.
“You are already calming me down. Both of you.” she said, genuinely happy with both of them.
She watched as Simon hovered over her. He was still holding onto her, but he was signing Thomas to come closer. He scooted closer and Lieke held her breath as both men were hanging over her now. She realised they were gonna kiss like that. Just centimetres above her head.
She looked up, they were staring eachother. Trying to figure out how long and how good this kiss would be. Simon pouted his lips for a second, which Lieke absolutely loved when he did so.
“Just kiss already.” she smiled, making them both look down.
She realised then how intimidating they were.
“Okay, whenever you want then.” she said, her voice small now.
They both laughed, before their lips touched. They froze for a second, before they got familiar again. Simon was clearly the dominant one, but Thomas was trying to feel him up as much as possible. And Lieke couldn't keep her eyes of of them.
She realised she wasn't focusing on the thunder and lightning anymore. It felt like the thunder and lightning had continued inside of her.
She grabbed Simons face with her hand and pulled him closer, kissed him hard. To his surprise.
He took a deep breath against her lips, before he kissed her back. She felt Thomas his eyes pray on her, making her feel some type of way.
Simon smiled against her lips, before he backed off.
Thomas his eyes locked with Simon and Lieke watched them connect. A small nod, made her stomach turn. She slowly looked over to Thomas.
“Can I-” she whispered. Her eyes flickering between the two men.
“Simon? What the hell is happening?” she giggled nervously.
“I don't know. We are just calming you down.” he laughed simply, as he watched Thomas hand hover over to Liekes cheek. She turned back to Thomas and they locked eyes.
“Oh well, why not..” she murmured before she pulled him closer and kissed him. Her free hand found his curls, something she immediately knew she liked about that man. And Simon had been right, he really was a good kisser.
She kissed him until she was out of breath and looked into his brown eyes.
“Thank you, I guess.” she giggled.
He laughed softly.
“No problem, I guess.” he answered.
It was a weird feeling, but definitely a good one. Lieke never expected Simon to be so easy with this and that's what made it feel so weird.
“I think I can sleep now.” she said, looking over to Simon. He was softly biting his lip as he nodded. He layed down next to her, pulling her closer again.
“I'll go back to my room then.” Thomas smiled.
“No, no I want you to stay.” Lieke said quickly, she looked helplessly to Simon. He didn't seem to mind either.
“Yeah, you should stay.” he said, his voice almost hoarse.
Lieke smiled softly, as Thomas came closer.
They ended up falling asleep together. Lieke and Simon as little and big spoon. They couldn't possibly be closer. Thomas had come closer to Lieke. His head was resting on her shoulder, his face hiding in her neck. Their soft breathing made her feel so calm and safe.
She had eventually felt Thomas hand move up, intertwing with her free hand. They were resting, together, inbetween their chests. As her other hand held onto Simons hand.
Her mind was a mess. But atleast she had forgotten the weather now. She felt better. With lots of other questions nerving her mind.
“I love you.” Simon had whispered in her ear, before he fell asleep. She had looked at him, knowing Thomas was already fast asleep on her shoulder.
“I love you too, Simon.” she whispered, pecking his lips.
“Everything okay?” she whispered, she needed to know what this meant.
“Yes, everything okay, my love. With you?”
She nodded, looking over at Thomas for a second, before she started smiling.
“This is weird right?” she giggled quietly.
“A little. But it feels good. So don't worry.” Simon smiled.
He kissed her softly, before she turned back and closed her eyes.
If Simon said she didn't need to worry. Then that was her plan.
And not five minutes later she was gone, into her own land of dreams. She felt good, not scared anymore.
Maybe the thunder and lightning had been a good thing tonight. But that was something to think about later. In that moment all that mattered was her sleep. And she got it, in between of two very strong men.
